The Company:
Our Client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
To Lead a team of CE&I Engineers and Designers in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering design activities (from Studies Stage to Detail Design Stage) in line with the Client’s programme delivery requirements.
To support individual Project Managers and Engineering Managers with delivery of a range of single and multi-discipline projects, this shall include;
Preparation of tender estimates, programmes and resource profiles,development of contract programmes,monitoring and reporting on project progress, schedules, forecasts, resources,management of change control.
To ensure Quality, Environmental and Health &Safety performance for the engineering designs being delivered.
To deliver assigned work packages that meet company, Client, legal, and regulatory requirements.
To ensure that competent resources are used to deliver design work packages by carrying out SQEP reviews.
To engage in the recruitment of engineer and design resource to meet the business needs.
To check and/or approve design deliverables prior to submission to the Client.
To engage in functional engineering reviews and guide the development of engineering design solutions.
To be flexible to changing work fronts and environments.
Able to adapt quickly to challenging situations.
Self motivated and capable of arranging own work schedules as well as that of others (subordinates) to meet challenging Client deadlines.
Act professionally and with integrity, especially when dealing with Clients.
Innovative thinker.
Team player.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
At least 2 years in a senior CE&I role.
5 years working within a nuclear regulated industry(preferred)
An understanding of the CDM Regulations (2007)
An awareness of Gated Processes in the delivery of staged design project lifecycle.
A knowledge of operational and decommissioning activities associated with nuclear facilities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
5 years in a CE&I Lead/Managerial Role.
10 years working within a nuclear regulated industry.
2 years working on Sellafield Limited Projects.
Able to carry out Engineering Substantiation to EG90.
Clearance at ‘SC Level’ would be preferred.
