The Role:
This role will provide overall civil/structural design and supervision to engineers, designers, and inspectors during FEED, detail design, construction and final turnover.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform various calculations to design plant site grading and drainage, various equipment foundations, pipe rack, pipe support steel, foundations and other functions related to the civil/structural components of standard compression, process gas and LNG plants.

* Maintain a copy of the relevant sections of the project estimate and generate change notices as needed.
* Assign all civil/structural engineering work including checking of calculations; review engineering sketches.
* Check drawings for conformity with project design basis requirements.
* Review other disciplines and vendor print inter-squad drawings.
* Review and help update the drawing schedule. Make forecasts. Meet with project schedule/targets.
* Sign off on final completion civil/structural construction packages.
* Maintain as-built documentation for all civil/structural work.
* Insure civil/structural design, construction and testing is code compliant.
* Manage civil/structural site inspectors.
* Develop and maintain engineering standards relating to structural steel and concrete foundation design.
* Review Request for Proposal packages from customers including instructions, technical specifications, drawings and technical data.
* Develop pre-contract engineering drawings and specifications, which will permit others to develop structural steel and concrete procurement, fabrication and construction estimates.
* Review technical documents associated with contracts.
* Prepare conceptual designs.
* Review structural stress analysis calculations.
* Review structural steel and concrete drawings showing area plans, sections, and details.
* Review structural fabrication drawings.
* Prepare structural and concrete material, installation, inspection and testing specifications for Owner's Scopes of work.
* Work with field crews to resolve structural installation issues.
* Visit jobsites as required to resolve structural issues.
* Travel to meetings with customers and regulators as required.
* Assist Project Management personnel in monitoring and guiding sub-contract engineering firms.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 10-15 years in Civil/Structural Engineering
* Experienced in the assembly and assessment of a turnover package
* Knowledge of structural analysis software such as STAAD, Mat 3D and Foundation 3D
