The Role:
We are currently looking for Lead Commissioning Engineers; Mechanical who can strengthen our team.



Responsibilities & Tasks The successful candidate will be based offshore and integrated into a commissioning team, tasked with the completion of all Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities required to ensure the timely completion of the project
The candidate, reporting into the Offshore Commissioning lead, is tasked with meeting project requirements in terms of discipline input, forward planning and organisation, leading to the performance by that discipline, of all technical duties associated with the delivery of the dynamic commissioning plan, in a highly competent and efficient manner, and to be aware of and adhere to the client values, systems and processes
As a Lead Discipline Commissioning Engineer you will be working on a EPC project and be responsible for scopes set by the project Commissioning Manager and overseen by the Offshore commissioning Lead, ensuring that project scopes are completed and handed over in a safe, timely manner. You will have the line supervision responsibility for commissioning engineers and technicians, assigned to your work scopes
Provide and agree commissioning deliverables and be responsible for ensuring those deliverables are completed to plan in a safe and timely manner
Organisational:

To manage the discipline in the delivery of the scope at hand, looking 14 to 21 days forward within the project execution plan, to ensure the timely delivery of the works at hand
To carry out professional engineering activities in a highly competent and efficient manner and ensure that the technical and safety integrity of the engineering is maintained
Oversee and where required complete the preparation of onsite SI and man-hour estimates via the Company Management System where applicable
Execute the technical duties in a competent and professional manner and in accordance with Company procedures
Ensure that commissioning engineering work is performed:
in accordance with the company project execution model
in accordance with the schedule.
within budgets
Ensure project deliverables are generated within the relevant client system
Ensure project deliverables are generated within the relevant client system
Compliance with procedures and all relevant statutory regulations, codes and standards
Review and check the work of others
Review and comment on vendor information and, where required, take part in inspection and testing
Assist the Commissioning Manager, in the planning, co-ordination and execution of the groups work activities
Liaise with other disciplines on commissioning issues
Provide added value to the development of their discipline / function
Direct sub-ordinate engineers in their work
Assist line supervision in the compilation of weekly reports on progress via the Company, Integrated Management system, where applicable
May have responsibility for the performance of others within their discipline / function
Provide engineering and technical direction for drawing office personnel
Deputise for line supervision and provide holiday and sickness cover, when required
Work with Client engineer’s and be pro-active whilst carrying out all duties
Technical:

Prepare technical data for commissioning activities as per project schedule
Prepare commissioning procedures, for all relevant systems, as per project schedule
Review and comment on vendor information and assist with inspection and testing at FAT’s and iFAT’s
Carry out single and inter-discipline checks and reviews
Review and check subordinate engineers work
Attend Client meetings as well as internal Company meetings as and when required
Carry out onshore / offshore surveys and answer site queries
It is desirable that the successful applicant will have some experience of 3D (PDMS) CAD and 2D CAD (Micro station or AutoCAD)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications / Personal Attributes Minimum educated to HNC/HND level in engineering discipline, however would prefer educated to degree level in engineering discipline
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
Ability to work on own initiative; self-motivated, willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to direct and guide engineers and designers
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively within the organisation and with external clients / customers
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, flexible and decisive, ability to be innovative and challenging in line with Company Values
An ability to build strong, effective working relationships within their team will be essential.
Sound working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
Conversant with appropriate technical software
Aware of latest technical developments
