The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
•To manage all aspects of Mechanical Pre-commissioning and commissioning both onshore and off shore.
•Coach/mentor the Azeri National mechanical personnel within the commissioning group to develop their knowledge and skill base.

Basic Skills:
•Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs, D&IDs, UFDs, PFDs, GA’s and other engineering drawings.
•Good knowledge of Mechanical and HVAC package equipment.
•Ability to work on own initiative.
•Good inter-personal skills.
•Ability to produce written reports.
•Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
•Fit and Healthy

•Ensure all Mechanical Commissioning discipline Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians are fully aware and understand all the projects safe working practices and adhere to them. So to maintain a SAFE working environment.
•Main interface with the Engineering Purchase Order Management Team for all mechanical equipment / packages to verify and assist within the build
•Attend Factory Acceptance Testing of equipment prior to its release.
•Acceptance of Mechanical discipline Mechanical Completion certificates from the construction contractor ensuring the technical integrity of the system prior to acceptance.
•SPC for contractors mechanical queries and responsible for liaising with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Contractor for the resolution of these queries.
•Responsible for writing and approving the mechanical content of drilling commissioning procedures. Ensuring that the integrity of the systems is maintained and all safe working practices are adhered to within the procedures.
•Liaise with the construction engineers to ensure all completions and progress reporting are correct and on time to active completion in line with the project schedule.
•Ensure all Mechanical vendors called to site are aware and understand the safe working practices of the site and receive all the necessary site specific safety training.
•Responsible for the approval of mechanical discipline LUNs and ensuring that all work carried out on Live Systems is completed under a Permit to Work.
•Ensure that the all Mechanical Pre-Commissioning activities and dynamic Commissioning activity are completed in a safe manor.
•Ensuring all relevant Training and Coaching is undertaking and implemented for all Azeri Nationals within the Mechanical Commissioning group to develop their technical understanding of engineering principles and practical skill level.
•Ensuring all Mechanical commissioning personnel carryout their work are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures
•Ensuring that all mechanical commissioning procedures and paperwork is completed to enable a smooth hand over of systems to Operations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
An Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience
Minimum of 10 years experience of similar roles in oil and gas industry
You will be an experienced discipline engineer who demonstrates good communication and team ethos skills and have significant experience of working on the commissioning of a major Project within the Drilling oil and gas industry
