Our client is a large multi-national organization which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves in conducting operations in accordance with the world–class safety and environmental standards.
Responsible for the execution and compliance of projects within Company in support of Companies existing oilfield and plant production facilities. Position will manage construction of Projects ranging in value from $250M to $5MM. All projects will be site based and will be in support of existing plant and field facilities. The Lead Construction Representative works closely with the Project Engineers in the business and technical aspects of a project from conception through to hand over to the customer, CPDEP Phase 1 to 5. Also responsible for successfully interfacing with the many different stakeholders in Companies organization.
Essential Position Functions:
•Participate in NEAR MISS and SAFETY OBSERVATION programs;
•Provide guidance and mentoring for National Employees in selected discipline;
•Provides day to day supervision of National Employees;
•Provides performance management for National Employees;
•Understands and provides guidance in the following areas;
•Job pack requirements to ensure constructability of the work;
•That all materials required for the job are available prior to start of the work;
•All Contractors’ adhere to safe work practices;
•Ensure Contractor compliance with contract terms & conditions;
•Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings (PFD, P & I D) for all discipline;
•Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, codes, and AFC drawings;
•Review Schedules and Costs for accuracy;
•Ensure accurate As-Built information is supplied by the Contractor;
•Ensure Company policies and work permit requirements are met;
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Must have a minimum of 12-15 years work experience in construction. Experience may be in construction, construction management, quality control, or commissioning.
•Working knowledge of industry codes governing work in assigned discipline. Familiar with industry codes governing work in other disciplines.
•Experience in an International location is desirable. Supervising numerous small to medium sized projects is typical. Because of the complexity of the facilities, a background of both upstream and downstream experience is desirable, but not a must. Experience with sour gas or processing facilities is also desirable.
•Must have demonstrated leadership skills.
•Prior supervisory experience for medium size staff (i.e. 5-10 people) required.
•Must have an understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking and contractor evaluations.
•Must have handled projects ranging in value from $1MM to $5MM
•Higher level education from a University or Technical institute is highly desired in
