• Rotational Contract Role - FIFO 21/7 Surat Basin, QLD
• Minimum 12 month contract

Our Client is seeking a Lead Construction Supervisor - Mechanical Piping (Central Processing Plant) to join their upstream team working on the Central Gas Processing Plant. The successful candidate will provide direction to the project managers and senior staff

You'll oversee the work of construction supervisors, construction contractors and service providers ensuring work is completed in line with contracts for service and have a strong understanding of process systems.

Your main responsibilities are:
• Provide expert advice on construction strategies as an owners team representative
• Construction programmes are monitored and analyzed to reflect progress
• Review EPC Contractor’s detail design, installation engineering and installation procedures
• QC daily construction reports and manage / monitor daily construction operations
• Monitor performance and technical integrity of contractors and service providers
• Participate in local and external peer reviews/assists as required
• Use the Management of change process to facilitate alterations to scope, deliverables and or budget
• Ensure the performance of the personnel provide for a safe and successful operation during the start up, scheduled works and hand over of the completed works.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or Trade qualification coupled with management training
• Must have significant construction experience on large projects in the construction of oil and gas facilities, preferably LNG
• Proven track record of working as an owners representative on a lump sum,oil and gas project
• Must have exisiting rights to work in Australia, seeking local candidates only
• Knowledge of international standards and procedures including Conditions of Contract
• Experience using a structured engineering MoC process
• Able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully with internal peers and contractors to influence position decisions or ways of working
• Ability to deal with conflict and achieve practical resolutions
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining operational systems and processes to meet operating targets
• Experience in managing operational finances and budgets

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered member of relevant engineering institution, or equivalent, desirable
