The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source a Lead Contracts Engineer to provide support to the upstream pipeline projects.

• Long term contract role
• FIFO to Chinchilla
• Work on a major CSG project

The Lead Contracts Engineer will develop and implement contracting strategies that meet contract and procurement requirements. Working for the project owner you will act as a point of contract for the area and manage contract workloads.

The incumbent will compile ITTs and evaluation procedures necessary to implement project execution strategies and plans. You will also coordinate the bidding, evaluation and award process.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for post award contracts administration
• Following a thorough and systematic approach in managing contractual matters between company and contractor and preparing commercial and contractual correspondence during the implementation of the contracts (with appropriate use of company contracts management system ‘ProCon’).
• Ensuring tracking systems are maintained for all contractual correspondence.
• Maintaining tracking registers of Contract Values and VOs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Associate of the RICS or equivalent.
• Substantial experience or mastery of contract management for wither, operational, drilling or project contracting.
• Significant demonstrable experience in major oil and gas industry C&P
• Experience in developing and executing contract strategies and plans.
• Experience in negotiating Contractual and Insurance Claims.
• International contracting
• Detailed market knowledge of a minimum of 5 key industry market areas (i.e. CBM, onshore construction, engineering and procurement, etc)
• Able to escalate and influence Project Manager and other discipline managers effectively in order to maintain progress during contracting and contract management process
