The Role:
•To provide a comprehensive and effective cost control service for the company in support of operations throughout the life cycle of projects.
•Responsible for Cost Control Services including those of Project Estimating (where applicable), Risk Analysis, Budget Control and Cost Control and Reporting.

■Leading the Cost Team - providing direction, guidance and support to subordinate team members as required.
■Developing and Maintaining a close working relationship with the company cost team.
■Monitoring, reporting and forecasting against project cost estimates and budget categories.
■Liaising with various engineering and support disciplines in support of ongoing VOWD, forecast, reporting and change control activities.
■Monitoring the correct processing of all time writing and associated project costs.
■Maintaining check of all project invoices to ensure correct coding and subsequent posting within SAP.
■Monitoring changes and trends to target cost estimates and forecast accordingly.
■Preparing monthly project cost reports.
■Providing input to, and collation of, project accruals ensuring VOWD estimates are prepared with appropriate supporting information.
■Overseeing the maintenance of project registers and progress of project close-outs.
■Creating WBS structures for new projects and providing templates for SAP set up by others.
■Ensuring all procurement costs are correctly committed to individual projects.
■Providing project stakeholder reporting data and analysis in a timely manner.
■Maintaining an effective ‘real-time' cost performance dashboard.
■Supporting the company Finance department by provision of accurate and timely cost information, in accordance with company financial policies, procedures and processes.
■Providing financial input to support Operations and Maintenance in maintaining accurate budget forecasts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
◦Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
◦Track record of continuous professional development
◦Ability to make decisions, meet deadlines and a track record of delivering results.
◦Accuracy and attention to detail.
◦Proficient in managing data, interpreting and analysing trends.
◦ Sound knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
◦ Sound knowledge of VOWD and accruals.
◦Sound knowledge of cost reporting and analysis.
◦ Understanding of and ability to manage change.
◦Commitment to corporate core values.
◦Good working knowledge of SAP.
◦SAP project reporting experience.
◦Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, particularly MS Excel.
◦Considerable experience in a project controls role◦High degree of computer literacy
◦Skilled in the supervision of project controls personnel
◦ Extensive cost management experience within the oil and gas industry.
◦Experience within an operating asset environment
