The Role:
LEAD COST ENGINEER - PERTH, WA - LONG TERM CONTRACT PLACEMENT - 3 TO 5 YEARS PROJECT WORK

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cost Engineer to work on various Australian projects, from their Perth, Western Australia location. The role will be to assist in establishing procedures, undertaking cost control activities and working to established procedures and budgets. This position reports to the Project Controls Manager.

You would be responsible for a number of duties such as:

•Supervision of and provide technical guidance to subordinates.
•Allocates budget and establishes milestones.
•Prepares cost control plans.
•Leads in establishing and assessing cost risk.
•Prepares cost control procedures.
•Evaluate and report cost deviations.
•Develops detailed work breakdown structures.
•Prepares cost monitoring curves.
•Reports progress achieved.
•Reports on cost outcome.
•Participates in vendor\contractor bid reviews.
•Assists in claims evaluation and negotiation.
•Assists with staff recruitment/training.

You will have the authority to sign documents under your direct control.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 8+ years of Cost Engineering experience and already in a Senior role.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree is preferred
