The Company:
Our Client is an Oil & Gas operating Company

The Role:
This position would be base overseeing the EPC Contractor's activities on a major domestic project

Responsibilities: -
• Support Estimators in the development of project cost estimates.
• Prepare and maintain the project cost break-down structure in co-ordination with work and organisational structures and accounting processes in liaison with the appropriate functions and managers.
• Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance in support of the Project Manager’s accountabilities,
• Prepare, operate and maintain in-house overall cost control systems.
• Prepare and maintain project cost procedures, and provide input to other relevant project documentation.
• Provide accurate and timely project cost reports, verifying cost performance against plan, and identifying areas of potential budget overrun requiring corrective action.
• Contribute to the development of budget recovery or other such optimisation strategies.
• Input expenditure data for the project monthly report.
• Monitor and review the expenditure elements of contractor performance throughout the contract life-cycle; recommend corrective action where necessary.
• Prepare value of work done or earned value analysis in conjunction with the project planning engineer.
• Lead or participate in the undertaking of cost risk analyses and support schedule risk analyses.
• Participate in the development of a project risk register to provide for identification, mitigation and monitoring of project risks.
• Work with the cost estimator in the development of project estimates for additional scope and/or variations.
• Support internal and partners’ project cost reviews and approvals processes.
• Produce and maintain annual budget reviews submitted for annual work programme and budget approval cycle in conjunction with the finance function.
• Ensure project outturn cost data and lessons learned are fed back to internal project stakeholders, for the benefit of future projects.
• Facilitate third party and sub-contractor cost control efforts through early alignment of expectations and ensuring that the third party / sub-contractor cost function receives the appropriate support from other project team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree Qualification
- 10-15 years relevant proven project experience
- Proven experience managing EPC Company Project Teams
