The Role:
Compliance with project safety standards and promote safety awareness within the group and particular the requirements of S&OR and OMS.
Lead, coordinate and support the cost control deliverables for the SCPX project particularly with regard to the major pipeline construction contracts.
Assist SCPX Project Services Manager, Project General Manager, PGM, and Budget Responsible Officers, BRO’s, in the day to day cost activities of the SCPX project.
Support the SCPX Cost Team Leader the in all SCPX cost related activities in Azerbaijan
• Together with the Project Services Manager and the Cost Team Leader, identify and achieve all GPO Project Services deliverables required to support the development of the initial Control Budget and subsequent Master Control Estimates, MCE, updates thereafter.
• Work with the PGM and BRO’s to ensure that Cost deliverables are clearly defined and delivered
• Develop and manage all inputs and reporting requirements using CostMANAGER on a monthly basis
• Develop Cost Control strategies, plans and procedures and participate in the updates to the Project Execution Plan.
• Update the WBS/CBS procedures working closely with PGM / BRO’s, Estimating, Planning and Finance groups, using the latest GPO MPcp Project Services Guidelines Standard WBS practice
• Prepare and coordinate the development of forecasts and estimates for inclusion into LTP’s, AWP&B’s and GFO’s
• Provide support to internal/external benchmarking exercises
• Preparation and monthly control of budgets and monitor costs covering - commitments, expenditure phasing forecasts and AEL vs. MLO reporting
• Participate in Risk Management activities
• Develop and participate in reporting to stakeholders (Partners meetings and management presentations, internal Company GFO’s, AWP&B’s, Long Term Plans, MCE’s, Project Cost Reports and Dashboards etc) ensuring that integrated Cost information is consistently and clearly communicated at the appropriate level.
• Coordinate the Cost activities and develop strong interfaces between the other key disciplines / groups such as Contracts / PSCM, Finance, Planning, Estimating and Delivery Teams. Interface with the various Leadership Teams appropriate to maintain a cost profile and influence.
• Delivery Team interface management and instructions
• Ensure correct coding of all requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, estimates and develop and maintain all required cost logs and registers
• Additional responsibilities (as described in the GPO MPcp role description) as and when required to support the above
• Preparation of ad-hoc cost exercises as required by Management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience (preferably with an owners oil and gas organisation)
• University Degree in a relevant Engineering field or equivalent qualification
• Significant relevant experience in the fabrication and construction industry
