The Company:

They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
Lead Cost Engineer (Sharjah)

•Study and understand all relevant project documents and conditions

•Ensure EPC contractor cost reporting is structured for incorporating into overall Directorate reporting

•Monitor EPC contractors milestone verification to support invoice submission

•Review EPC contractor's costs for changes in the scope

•Review and monitor procurement activities

•Co-ordinate commercial administration in line with contract requirements to ensure cost reimbursement

•Control and forecast PMC teams costs and manpower

•Prepare and maintain time and cost trend statistics to support cost and man hour forecasts

•Support preparation of PMC invoices

•Prepare final job statistics and analyse the effectiveness of cost procedures for possible improvement on future projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Engineering degree preferred
•Experience in a similar position
•Experience in PMC / EPC organisations in the field of Refinery / Petrochemicals for major projects of value not less than US $ 500 Million each
•Previous experience with top tier O&G Company would be an advantage
•Experience in cost control and change management on engineering, procurement, construction and completion phases which should have been gained in the refinery, petrochemicals or oil and gas industries
•Must have a strong understanding of cost and change control in both a lump sum and reimbursable environment
•Excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
•Self-motivated, energetic and tenacious
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Minimum industrial experience (years): 15
•Experience in similar position (years): 5
