The Role:
Role Synopsis:

- Preparing internal conceptual and or detailed estimates using in house tools and techniques, applying the Seven Cost Estimating rules.
- Develop estimate basis and cost estimating confidence package.
- Review contractor developed estimates and integrate into the overall project estimate ensure consistency across multiple contractor estimates (single point accountability).
- Support preparation of regular cost forecasts.

Key Accountabilities:

- Support and comply with the project team’s commitment to no accidents no harm to people and no damage to the environment Ensure full adherence with Company Golden roles of safety.
- Interface with project/ discipline engineers for technical and cost input.
- Provide in-depth challenge to cost input from others.
- Review estimates as input to the project Management of Change process.
- Prepare twice yearly Project Estimates updates (Current Control Estimates) on a timely and consistent basis, meeting constraints of all non-project business requirements.
- Interface with Estimating Coach and independent Cost Estimate Reviewers.
- Compare estimates to internal and external metrics and benchmarks, including Company databases.
- When required, develop project specific life cycle cost effects and Capex/Opex trade off.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Educated to a required standard in an Engineering discipline.
- Personally committed with a proactive approach to HSSE.
- Previous experience of similar role with other Operators.
- Able to work alone, self-start to achieve all targets.
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work with others to achieve results.
- Be able to mentor/ support junior colleagues.
- Have a flexible approach to meet work schedules.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of Offshore Industry (Engineering and Construction).
- Able to take projects through all phases of development (Cradle to Grave).
- Experience of working with Partners (Owners).
- Aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas.
- Be able to communicate issues to management team.
