The Company:
An international energy service company.

The Role:
Ensure the timely turn around of documentation issued internally or received externally.
Usage to Super-User level of company Document Management Systems.
Participation in Business Improvement items for Function and development of assigned project working processes and practices.
Support, and where appropriate, mentor the personal development of department team members.
Assist with LCI/DFO (Lifecycle information/Documentation for Operations) final handover.
Ensure compliance with Technical Integrity Performance Standards
Ensure controlled close out of projects in a timely manner.
Prepare project documentation for archive both in hard copy and electronically.
Supervisory and Managerial Duties:
Supervision of Senior, Document Controller, Assistants and Trainee
Main Duties:
Develop project and corporate specific procedures, and reporting formats to meet requirements.
Ensure project procedures are aligned to client requirements, such that LCI/DFO requirements are met and costs minimised.
Input to corporate process and procedures to develop an integrated/common Document Management process across the organisation.
Provide internal and external reports to ensure project deliverables are met.
Participate in client presentations with regard to DM issues.
Participation in ProjectWise Implementation Team.
Ensure project drawings and documents are issued in a controlled manner and within agreed timescale, this includes work pack issues.
Manage and coach team members on processes, procedures and document management systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HNC / HND and/or Degree
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
◦Good knowledge of electronic data management systems
◦Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures.
◦Good knowledge of technical library (inc. codes and standards, and legislation)
Experience:
◦Skilled knowledge of Document Control within Oil & Gas
◦Supplier document control.
◦Engineering and design document control.
◦Construction and installation document control
◦LCI/DFO final handover
◦A good knowledge of electronic filing systems.
◦Skilled understanding of electronic file types and the requirement for accurate coding.
Personal Skills:
•Proven experience as department and section leader.
◦Presentation and meeting skills.
◦Good communicator at all levels within the organisation and with external clients.
◦Ability to delegate, and be a good time manager.
◦Must be a ‘team player'
