The Role:
Key to maintaining our client as a leader in this field is the ability to manage information in a timely and effective manner.
This role is to be solely responsible for document control on a large Windfarm Construction project. There is already an established document control process and Document Management System (FusionLive) for the current construction project, this will be adopted and adapted where necessary. There is also scope to replace the existing document management solution and this role will be required to support that activity where appropriate.

Principal Accountabilities:
Maintain the document library as per agreed structures.
Adapt existing workspace to ensure project specific requirements are taken into account.
Build / maintain relationships with team members / suppliers to promote the use of the document library and provide support where required.
Ensure contractors adhere to the document control procedures and requirements.
Issue documentation, both internal and external, with a maximum turnaround of 24 hours.
Deal swiftly and efficiently with any problems that arise.
Provide document control support to the Project team.
Attend kick-off meetings and liaise with new contractors to ensure they understand document control requirements from the outset.
Ensure all items are closed out and appropriate as built packages are received and accepted by the Operations team.
Ability to control multiple flows of information.
Ability to deal with large quantities of documentation in short timescales.
Maintain security of information in line with internal and joint venture requirements.
Ensure that audit trails are maintained and all documents can be traced etc.
Responsible for copying, quality checking and sending out manuals, programmes and other project related documents.
Ability to work independently and suggest improvements where appropriate.
Attend monthly meetings to understand project progress and highlight any documentation issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive experience within a document control environment
Previous experience working with onshore / offshore wind projects
Education to degree level or equivalent
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
Excellent MS Office skills required including Access, Word, Excel & Powerpoint
Excellent active listening, problem solving and root cause identification skills
Good previous experience in Document Management in multi-disc environment
Understanding and experience of the energy industry from a technical and commercial perspective
Understanding and experience of the offshore engineering and construction industry from a technical and commercial perspective
Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
