The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Reporting to the Topsides Fabrication Lead and Provide the following functions:
• Provide knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in use on Oil and Gas processing platforms and Wheatstone in particular.
• Review relevant fabrication documents including drawings and procedures as required to ensure that fabrication proceeds in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
• Work with the Engineering Coordinator to ensure that E&I RFI’s / TQ’s are resolved quickly, efficiently and correctly.
• Interact with Company and external SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) as required.
• Oversee Contractor material orders, deliveries quantities and schedule.
• Interact with Contractor’s procurement and logistics department and Company’s QA/QC team to ensure that engineering based consideration are addressed during Materials procurement, equipment installation and preservation.
• Work with QA/QC group to ensure that materials and equipment are handled, lifted and installed in accordance with vendor recommendations and approved project procedures.
• Assist as required during the monitoring and development of project progress reports.
• Assist as required to generate input for scheduling and risk identification/management.
• Provide input as required for the QA/QC group on technical issues during construction.
• Perform regular Site inspections to ensure works are proceeding per contract.
• Input to the HSE and IIF program for fabrication including HAZIDs.
• Attend weekly internal and contractor meetings
• Monitor all subcontractor locations for off-site fabrication involved in subcontractor approval process.
• Monitors the project fabrication execution planning. Seek out and apply best practices from other projects. Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from project planning and execution. Apply CPDEP and Capital Stewardship principles to ensure decision quality and superior project execution.
• Oversee VIP workshops, including Constructability and SID.
• Monitor discipline scheduling, risk identification and management.
• Guide QA/QC group on technical issues and acceptance.
• Input to change requests as required by Site Management and Business Team.
• Ensure Contractor delivers As Built information, PDMS model and VDD. The following capabilities will be looked upon very favourably should the candidate be able to execute them.
• Familiarity with Australian EEHA requirements and ability to contribute to Company’s efforts in observing EEHA requirements.
• Familiarity with PDMS and the ability to execute model queries on tagged items, piping systems etc.
• Contractor uses Aveva Marine as its 3D modelling package. Familiarity with the package as opposed to PDMS will be suitable.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience: 15 - 20 Years minimum

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Related professional work experience in engineering, construction and/or project management including 5 years of recent fabrication experience on Major Capital Projects including Production Semi Submersible, FPSO or Topsides. Good written and communication skills. English essential. Korean desirable. Must be familiar with Autocad and general E&I engineering packages i.e. InTools etc Experience in working within multidiscipline and multicultural teams on large major capital projects.
Qualification as above, IIF, schedule monitoring, contract principles
