The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source a Lead Electrical & Instrument Technician to execute E&I maintenance across the LNG facility.

• Work directly for the LNG project owner
• Brisbane based for twelve months and then relocation to Gladstone
• Permanent staff position

The Lead Electrical & Instrument Technician will cover maintenance works and report directly to the E&i Maintenance Supervisor.

This position will initially be based in Brisbane during the pre-operations phase, with a move to Gladstone after twelve months. During the pre-operations phase, you will help with the development of processes, tasks, plans and procedures in relation to their E&I scope.

Responsibilities include:
• Mentoring, monitoring and supervision of new team members and contract staff
• Carry out scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, and provide technical support as required, ensuring all works are compliant with appropriate governing standards
• Ability to use Maximo CMMS at an advanced level
• Coordinate and supervise shutdown maintenance activities including labour requirements
• Assist with emergency response plans and procedures as necessary including E&I maintenance of emergency response equipment
• Undertake and participate in the maintenance registers and data bases for the LNG plant

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• E&I trade experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry
• LNG experience would be ideal
• Competent in the maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas
• Extensive experience in High Voltage Switching and HV Equipment
• Emergency shut down system, fire & gas detection system and associated field device maintenance experience
• Ability to hold an unrestricted Qld Electrical Workers Licence

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience with power generation, particularly with gas turbines
• Exposure to DCS & PLC
• Advanced CMMS user
