The Role:
-Lead and manage the discipline team for the project
-Manage all aspects of the discipline scope for the project, implementing SEAL requirements including technical integrity, safety in design, and sustainable design where applicable
-Liaise with other engineering and technical personnel including personnel from other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are met
-Ensure that the discipline team complies with the change management process
-Support the associated procurement, contracting and construction strategies and processes to ensure that project deliverables meet project requirements on time and within budget.
-Prepare or assist in the preparation of project documentation such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports, if required.
-Lead and manage the team, motivate them and manage their performance.
-Communicating with the Manager of Engineering, Group Discipline Manager, Chief Engineer and/or Project Manager.
-Identify and manage discipline resources and competency requirements of the team.
-Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, clients as required by the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-BEng Qualification
-RPEQ registration (or alternatively CPEng)
-Minimum 15 years experience in multi-disciplinary projects
-Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation designs for mineral processing applications (particularly copper)
-History of managing medium to large design teams in EPCM contract environment
-Experience with developing and managing project manhour budgets
-Proven history of executing projects in accordance with schedule requirements
-Strong exposure to QA culture
-Ability to communicate across functional groups
