The Company:
Our client, a major international oil & gas company, has an immediate need for a Lead Electrical Engineer for a new SAGD project.

The Role:
As a member of a multidisciplinary project team this position will be assigned to the Client's new SAGD project Task Force Team and will be responsible for coordinating technical and design activities related to the Client's project along with supporting procurement and field activities associated with fabrication, construction and commissioning of the facility. For day to day activities, management of activities, responsibilities, accountabilities and performance and behavior evaluation this position will report to the Project Manager for this project.

• Electrical lead for all modifications including feasibility studies, design concept and selection, milestone schedules, cost profiles, development plan and risk analyses
• Procure electrical engineering contractors to execute the various works for the modifications projects.
• Electrical technical support and input to the design, construction, and quality control of new facilities and modifications
• Reviewing engineering and design deliverables from contractors and vendors.
• Participating in studies, document reviews and technical bid evaluations.
• Interacting with multiple stakeholders and team members internally and externally, including asset owner, engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure stakeholders contribute to and buy-in to plans and decisions.
• Integrate all electrical engineering activities of the modification project.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance is met in the delivery of projects
• Ensuring contractor’s engineering and project deliverables meet Client's requirements
• Working with document management and lifecycle information (LCI)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• An Electrical Engineering degree recognized by APEGGA
• More than 10 years of related experience in electrical engineering preferably in SAGD projects in Alberta.
• Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Strong team orientation, demonstrating a high level of cooperation

• Highly motivated, results oriented and able to manage multiple tasks, interfaces, and delivery dates
• Able to challenge and accept new approaches that has added value to the project and team.
