The Role:
This job description details the requirements for the role of Lead Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Project Manager. To provide professional engineering support to the project teams both in the UK and overseas to deliver innovative engineering solutions to clients in a manner consistent with their requirements.

It is the responsibility of the Electrical Engineer to provide delivery of defined engineering tasks for different projects to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client requirements. In addition the role involves supporting the development of proposals for new business opportunities, provision of consultancy services and project management.

Where required perform the role of ‘Project Manager’ for appropriate projects.

Manage improvement/change with projects;

Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, purchase, installation and commissioning of electrical systems;

Provide on-going technical support to operations and maintenance departments on electrical system problems;

Produce, review and understand associated documentation relating to the design, installation and operation of electrical systems

Analyse data, troubleshoot performance, conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations to improve electrical issues.

Provide scoping, cost estimates and preliminary engineering design work for the development and preparation of project papers;

Make decisions involving technical issues, budget considerations, project schedules and safety with a minimum of supervision;

Assist in providing functional design specifications and/or datasheets for all items of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with company procedures and all relevant standards;
Develop and implement engineering procedures, work instructions, standards and guidance documents;
Support the development of proposal and delivery for new business opportunities, including due diligence, consultancy and site mobilisation;
