The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering solutions provider for blue-chip companies in the UK.

The Role:
Job Title:Senior Technical Author (CE&I)
Job Purpose:
Production and validation of O&M documents to the Cients specification particularly Proof Tests and Maintenance Instructions
Ensure particular attention is paid to the production and validation of Proof Test Instructions to make them compliant with the Safety Case and achievable within the working parameters of the interfacing plant and processes.
Quality Accountabilities
Implementation of document control procedures
Ensure that review comments are resolved and either added or challenged to conclusion.
Ensure the document delivery programme is maintained.
Ensuring that the Validation & Approval Check Sheet completed during the review and validation phases remain with both the paper copy Master Document and on CIMS.
Ensuring that any amendments identified during the validation process are transcribed from the Master Validation Copy to the Master Document and its revision is updated and approved in accordance with Management Procedure.
Additional Accountabilities
Completion of the Request for O&M Documents for a yellow copy of a Master Validation Instruction together with Validation and Approval Check Sheet
Ensure documents are produced within the allotted budget and timescale.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recent experience of producing test documents, proof tests or work-place instructions or similar authoring/report writing skills.
Maintenance or operations experience in nuclear or process industry with strong practical background.
Familiar with formal document production procedures, review processes and corporate templates.
Good standard of verbal and written communication and reporting skills.
Good IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Appropriate technical or engineering qualification underpinned with significant practical experience, e.g. Trade apprenticeship with ONC/OND or HNC.
