The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Lead Engineer for product Key Components responsibility: Door & Wheel arch cladding Components have been designed and tooled, launch of vehicle ongoing, key concerns raised against components that must be resolved prior to vehicles becoming salable. Supplier is sourced and available to aid issues resolution, Eng to lead with supplier support. Responsible for delivery to the Programme, of all engineering and technical requirements for the components and sub systems within their responsibility. Responsible for escalating issues to their ML for quick resolution if they cannot be resolved them by themselves"

3 KEY SKILLS Strong understanding of Automotive engineering and interconnected systems. Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands and launch pressure. Good communicator, strong background in forging good working relationships cross-functionally and be passionate about the development of Jaguar Land Rover products. Able to convey issues well to ensure understanding can be shared easily. Able to demonstrate the capability to dive deep into the details of an issue and maintain focus to close it out. Understanding of cost which may impact or drive decisions.

Experience Required: Previous experience of Plastic Engineering components is an essential element of this role which should include knowledge of design, function, performance, production and manufacturing requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong influencing and negotiation ability will also be necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis and PC skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Degree or relevant equivalent experience will be required.
