The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.

The Role:
To lead the Dynamics engineering section. Provide technical capability for testing, benchmarking to show conformity to dynamic performance targets, and ability to investigate quality items in the market.

To work closely with Ride and Handling test colleagues to confirm performance testing of tyre and suspension on proving ground and roads.
Provide expert support for analysis & countermeasure of warranty issues, working with R&D, factory, service and suppliers.
Analyse and report on the effects of tyre and suspension tuning on steering, braking, stability, NVH, Ride and Handling characteristics and summarise clearly.
Test to specific test protocols to ensure vehicle / component adherence and report same
Propose by individual idea and Research of advanced technology trends / technology through benchmarking, investigation, conferences, etc and report results internally and within R&D globally.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Automotive engineering or equivalent
Demonstrable dynamics experience with either an OEM or automotive parts supplier is peferred

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Matlab / Labview software skills are desirable
Excellent PC skills – particularly Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Proactive approach demonstrating a high level of self motivation to deliver
A flexible attitude and be responsive to change
Occasional travel overseas will be required
An adept communicator, able to build strong relationships across cultures internally and externally
Competence in a European language would be beneficial – but not essential
