The Company:
A luxury Automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. After continued growth & success there are a number of new exciting engineering projects underway and we currently have requirements for experiences engineering professionals.

The Role:
Lead the cross-functional PMST to deliver wiper and washer systems and components to meet programme cost, timing and quality targets
Lead project management to ensure robust delivery of windscreen wiper and washer systems and components to programme targets (quality, cost, timing and functional attributes)
Develop commodity strategies to support procurement of parts, tooling and design and & development
Create and manage the BoM from set-up through to production release.
Lead PMST meetings to ensure full engagement of all other business areas and suppliers
Manage internal and external design and & development activities
Resolve issues arising from PMST, empowered to direct cross-functional team to achieve resolution
Produce engineering releases (in conjunction with Project Engineer)
Project-manage the supply of parts to support builds and/or FMA/DVP activities as necessary
Maintain all relevant project documentation.
The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post.

The post-holder will be required to comply with all policies and procedures issued.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree (or equivalent)
5 years’ experience within automotive engineering/product development
3 years’ experience in managing the design and delivery of exterior trim and/or mechanism systems on new vehicle programmes
Experience of windscreen wiper and/or washer system development
Experience of leadership or clear evidence of leadership ability.
Strong communication skills both verbal and report writing
Familiar with failure mode avoidance techniques including DFMEA
Proficient in MS Office tools: Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
Good understanding of manufacturing techniques and tooling including stamping, casting, injection moulding, fabricationProficient in the use of Teamcentre / Vismockup to interrogate CAD designs and drawings
Self-starting and self-motivated.
Excellent organisational skills, ability to deliver under pressure.
Confident communicator – able to present at gateway reviews with senior management Commercial awareness – ability to work within
