The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds biggest Oil and Gas companies and employ over 80,000 staff worldwide.

The Role:
*This position will involve frequent travel to Angola*

Our client are lookig for a Lead Geologist / Geoscientist to their multi-disciplinary Resivoir Management Team. This position will be based in London, but will involve frequent travel to Angola.

The key accountabilities include;

- Opportunity evaluation from high quality 3D and 4D seismic data
- Reserve and resource assurance
- Managing technical interfaces with partners including representing the client at subsurface technical meetings
- Managing reserves reporting processes.
- Coaching and mentoring of junior Geologists
- Transfer of knowledge to the on location teams
- Interacting beyond the immediate team with the client's global network of technical staff.

This is an excellent role for a Geoscientist that is looking to gain rapid exposure to a wide range of technical, commercial and strategic aspects of the business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Geological operations / Well planning / Development Geoscience experience
- Understanding of Sedimentology & Stratigraphy and experience of turbidite reservoirs
- Competent in Appraisal & Development Structural Geology
- Competent in 3D Reservoir Mapping and Modelling
- Knowledge of Well Planning & Optimisation
- Experienced with Petrel (optional/preferred)
- Demonstration of strong performance delivery;
- Strong communication skills and a track record as team player.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where building and maintaining good relationships with the external Operators and other Partners is key.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to gather appropriate information and make decisions.
- Personality that thrives when working in multidisciplinary teams within a highly networked organization, requiring frequent interaction with individuals and groups across a large geographic spread.
