The Role:
Investigates and diagnoses complex network problems, working with users, other staff and suppliers as appropriate. Resolves such problems, co-operating with the incident management function, to maintain overall network performance.
Owns critical knowledge of core ICT network systems, especially Cisco based infrastructure.
Uses network management systems software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect routine network load statistics, model performance, and create reports, including proposals for improvement.
Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Analyses site survey reports and contributes to specifications of requirements and plans for installation and commissioning of hardware and software.
Uses network management systems software to create ad-hoc network models and complex network statistical analyses.
Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
Contributes to selection of standard procedures and tools, and carries out defined tasks associated with the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control and maintenance of local and wide area networks.
Develops and review ICT policies, procedures, work instructions.
Develops technical documentation of the supported systems and software is available and in an appropriate form for those receiving calls.
Provides a leading role in the preparation of necessary feasibility studies or functional specifications development for new business demands.
Leverages both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems
Participates in and contributes to strategic planning and decision making within Networking area
Designs and implementation of technical solutions in different areas
Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
Researches commercial products for possible use in the company environment
Responsible for the applying latest technologies to the Cisco networking infrastructure
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Counsels strong technical expertise in course of projects setup and execution in coordination with Network and Telecom Projects Programme team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder will need to show an aptitude to work within this multicultural and multi-stakeholder environment and translate between CoV codes, standards, systems, and practices and the Company Management System.
Compliance with:
Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Laws/Regulations;
The Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and Safety Management Systems ;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic / Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science
The job holder must have at least 6 years of experience in ICT area
The job holder must have at least 1 year of experience in managing ICT Infrastructure management in complex environments
