The Company:
Our Client is a Global Leading Oil & Gas Operating Company.

The Role:
Lead Inspector performing quality surveillance, inspection and verification activities at manufacturers, fabrication shops, site and offshore, for flowlines, risers, forgings, connectors, SURF equipment and offshore installation.

Previous experience in welding inspection, coating inspection, NDE, AUT, FAT, SIT at manufacturers, fabrication shops, site and offshore installation.

Experience in supervising inspectors, and review and approval of Manufacturing Record Books.

10 minimum in Oil and Gas industry quality management and a minimum of 1 year exp. in above assignment and experience descriptions.

Normal 5 day work week. Project may work additional days depending on schedule issues.


• Promote safety within area of specialty
• Coordinate the daily activities of inspectors and perform quality inspection activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Provide a high level of quality expertise and experience in more than one inspection discipline such as NDE, coatings or welding (Senior Level Inspector)
• Monitor production processes and perform surveillance activities
• Review and evaluate Contractor’s and Suppliers’ quality documents for accuracy and adequacy
• Develop and implement detailed oversight program for high criticality areas such as Golden Weld, NDE Crosscheck and Critical Site Repairs
• Participate in Mechanical Completion activities such as pre-walkdown checks, accuracy of Quality Control documents, formal walkdowns, and support closure of punch list items
• Support Quality training activities
• Keep Site Quality supervision updated with status of quality issues

• Provide leadership / expertise in quality inspection activities and provide input on the technical and physical adequacy of associated equipment and systems
• Coordinate daily activities of discipline inspector’s surveillance of contractor work activities and the documentation of deficiencies in accordance with the Site Construction Surveillance Plan.
• Interface with Site Quality and Engineering disciplines to provide inspection and testing expertise in the development and review of drawings and procedures
• Generate, review, and revise operational procedures for inspection and test equipment
• Review and validate Contractor procedures for inspection and for testing / examining components through the performance of surveillance in accordance with the Construction Surveillance Plan.
• Support project with inspection activity, and/or examination technique recommendations; and offer technical advice for compliance with specified requirements
• Perform inspections and verifications of critical activities in accordance with requirements of the ITP
• Provide early warning of potential quality problems and the expertise to avoid / resolve them

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in a related field is preferred
• 15 years minimum construction experience related to project scope
• 10 years minimum recent experience in selected inspection discipline
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise in selected discipline(s)
• Technical qualification or certification in discipline as specified at time of staffing request
• Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
• Read, write and speak fluent English with strong management, leadership and communication skills
