The Role:

Overall coordination of transportation and installation activities within EPCI contracts from bid evaluation through offshore installation.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
• Houston based member of Company’s project management team, focusing on management of EPCI contractors’ work pertaining to the transportation and installation of subsea equipment including: rigid pipelines, flexible pipelines and risers, manifolds, piles, umbilicals, flying leads, and jumpers.
•Safety leadership through all project phases.
•Company representative offshore.
•As necessary, Company representative in fabrication yards and contractors’ offices.
•Leadership role in technical assurance, including review of transportation and installation analysis and procedures and planning and monitoring the work of the marine warranty surveyor and third party verification organizations.
•Lead role in planning, coordination, and managing SIMOPS of offshore installation campaigns for an FPSO, TLWP, and subsea including coordination with drilling and operations.
•Responsible for coordination of design reviews, HAZIDs and readiness reviews.
•During detailed design coordinate transportation and installation activities with EPCI contractor and sub-contractors.
•Identification, management, and resolution of interface issues and project risks. This will include activities including marine warranty surveyor, third party verification, contractors, vendors, drilling, and operations.
•Participation in tender process and bid evaluation.
•Responsible for coordinating technical input to the project budget, cost control and forecasting to the Project Services function for the work scope within areas of control, and initiating any necessary corrective actions to meet schedule and cost targets.
•Be able to articulate the main business drivers for the project and be familiar with the economic criteria and sensitivities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Engineering Degree
• 10+ years relevant experience (preference for candidates with EPCI experience with operators and major installation contractors)
• Previous experience performing technical analysis and preparing installation procedures
• Previous experience with transportation and installation of floating structures
• Preference given to candidates with experience in installation of subsea equipment, rigid pipelines, and flexible risers
• Preference for candidates with previous experience on Angolan projects
• English written and verbal
• Portuguese spoken (preference)
