The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
The Lead Instrument Commissioning Engineer will lead a team of Control (ICSS) & Instrument Commissioning Engineers and Technicians in executing commissioning activities in order to deliver facilities to Operations in accordance with the project technical standards and schedule. The Lead Control & Instrument Commissioning Engineer is to provide commissioning support during start-up activities up to project completion.

• Deliver expectations on HSE.
• Participate in the training of National Instrument personnel
• Active role with the ICSS Engineering, planning, and strategy for installation and commissioning, within the Engineering Contractor’s premises.
• Ensure alignment between Instrument & ICSS teams
• Participation in all safety reviews and Hazops of the control system, and safety systems.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests at supplier’s premises.
• Input into the compilation of Commissioning Test Procedures
• Fully conversant with GOC requirements
• Witnessing and acceptance of Site Acceptance Tests.
• Attend site RTC meetings and participate in level 2 risk assessments
• Ensuring all ICSS Commissioning personnel carryout their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures.
• Perform Area Authority duties in accordance with PTW procedure
• Responsible for the validation and verification of the SIS requirements as detailed within the safety system lifecycle plan and the SIS Commissioning & Validation procedure
• Comply with client's competency guidelines for IEC 61511
• Comply with IEC61511 mandatory SIS Functional Safety Assessments
• Attend commissioning meetings.
• Be fully conversant and control ICSS software changes in accordance with project software change control procedure
• Responsible for the safety & management of all ICSS commissioning personnel and vendors reps under their control when on-site
• Compilation of a weekly progress report to their line manager.
• Control of “As building” documents in accordance with the project procedure
• Coordinate Vendor call offs in accordance with construction and commissioning schedule ensuring vendors are mobilised when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A recognised Engineering degree or HNC considered with relevant experience. A minimum of 10 years experience working on Control & Instrument Systems Commissioning on onshore or offshore facilities including:-
o Involvement with Engineering Contractor in design phase.
o Factory Acceptance Testing at ICSS suppliers premises.
o Site Acceptance Testing
o Commissioning
o Handover to Operations
