The Company:
Our Client is engaged in front end studies, modifications to existing platforms operations and maintenance contracts, field decommissioning and removal. The company has some 2,200 employees. Field development with new platforms covering all engineering disciplines. Procurement, material administration and project management.

The Role:
To co-ordinate the activities of a squad of Designers and CAD Operators within the discipline

To carry out design activities within an area of a project and ensure that the technical and safety integrity of the design is maintained and that the Company and Project procedures are adhered to

To be aware of and adhere to the company values, systems and processes.

The identification and development of improved and more efficient working practices

Main Responsibilities
• The co-ordination and management of the squad to ensure that adequate staffing levels are available to carry out the work in a timely and efficient manner within the approved man-hours and project schedules
• Assisting the Discipline Engineer with the recruitment of design personnel as appropriate
• To ensure that the work allocated is completed in compliance with Line Managers requirements including work of others in squad
• To ensure that the inter-discipline aspects of the design are addressed
• To ensure the generation of project drawing deliverables is (including “check-in” / check-out”, if applicable) by all Principal Designers, Senior Designers, Designers, and CAD Operators within squad
• The maintenance of professional standards with regard to both attitude and work
• To coach other squad members to assist with their development as appropriate
• Ensuring that any Drawing Office files are prepared and maintained in accordance with the Company / Project procedures
• The allocation of drawing numbers and revision codes in accordance with Company / Project procedures via DCC as appropriate
• The co-ordination of design activities with the other disciplines on all multi-discipline projects
• The preparation of the CTR’s and the listing of deliverables, for the design / draughting activities and also reporting on the progress of same
