With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Position Summary

As a member of the Capital Projects Group (CPG) Engineering Team, the Lead Instrument Engineer will be required to provide input to the design and construction phases of various projects within the Portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

The Lead Instrument Engineer is accountable for the development and execution of the Design and Construction engineering scopes using appropriate resources. The Lead Instrument Engineer will support the CPG Engineering Manager in assuring that the projects meet comany EMS (Engineering Management System) compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Lead Instrument Engineer will possess extensive experience in the design and management of Instrumentation scopes associated with upstream oil and gas developments.

Educated to first degree level in a relevant discipline; a chartered member of a relevant engineering institution. The Lead Instrument Engineer shall have extensive Brownfield experience in particular the design of Control & Safety Systems; fiscal metering & HIPPS experience would also be an advantage.

The Lead Instrument engineer reports to the CPG Engineering Manager, works collaboratively with the other project team members, and consultatively with relevant functional members of both Europe E&P in Aberdeen and Company in Reading. Excellent interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for the position.
