The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Currently recruiting for a Lead Management Accountant - Onshore based in Perth and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The primary function of this employee position is to provide accounting, budgeting and forecasting support to the onshore construction team.

Key responsibilities include:

· Create and deliver monthly financial reports for project management identifying divergent performance, providing accurate project cost information and budget, forecast, and AFE position.
· Educate project staff with regard to purpose, structure and guidelines of finance management and forecasting
· Prepare project cash call estimate by AFE and foreign currency analysis
· Complete period close, prepare journals and accruals ensuring they are consistent with value of work done
· Develop treatment of asset capitalisation and ensure appropriate structures and understanding is in place
· Maintenance of project accounting data in SAP and monthly reconciliation with cost Control application
· Prepare budget and forecast information for submission and approval
· Analyse and forecast foreign currency commitments, liaise with treasury and advise anticipated foreign currency requirements
· Liaise with Cost Control and Contract Engineers to monitor commitment levels
· Support Tax team in preparation and analysis of financial data
· Various support to Project team to facilitate Execution phase in relation to payment, contractual terms or tax treatments and recommendations
· Travel is expected for this position approximately 4 - 6 short trips per year

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· Undergraduate degree in finance with CPA/CA/CIMA or similar is required
· Previous EPC experience essential
· Previous hedging exposure essential
· Experience in assisting remote locations and fabrication yards set up highly regarded
· Significant demonstrated experience in cost/management accounting in an oil and gas environment is essential
· JV accounting experience will be highly regarded
· Experience using SAP is preferred
· Demonstrated understanding of international accounting standards and activity based costing
· Strong demonstrated communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
