We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to work on a world-Mining projects from the Perth CBD area, Western Australia. Reporting to the Design Manager, the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is required to provide technical expertise ensuring the design meets the process, project and client’s requirements.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Performing engineering design and calculation generation
• Preparing and reviewing mechanical equipment specifications and data sheets
• Reporting design / drafting progress to Project Managers and the Design Manager on a weekly basis.
• Assisting in the preparation of man-hour budgets and design schedules for EPCM estimates
• Reviewing and compiling vendor certified documentation (drawings, data sheets, manuals) and implementing engineering interface data onto the drawings via the Drafting team
• Providing leadership within design teams in the development of Project designs

Essential requirement(s) for this role:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• 10 years post graduate experience in minerals processing and materials handling
• Previous work experience with EPCM companies that specialise in minerals processing
