The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the Operations and Project team and provide leadership within Mechanical engineering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining mechanical engineering strategies and provide expert knowledge in the areas of reliability engineering and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Carrying out spares optimisation strategies with the ability to formulate maintenance strategies for mechanical equipment.
• Utilising your extensive knowledge of CMMS systems and integrity assurance.
• Reviewing and preparing technical evaluations of equipment and service contracts by reviewing vendor drawings, equipment datasheets, calculations and work method statements.
• Highlighting the risks associated with the critical interfaces and equipment and developing mitigation plans accordingly
• Demonstrating competence in risk and safety analysis techniques such as SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOPS, QRAs and RCA

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in supporting oil and gas operations
• Sound understanding of mechanical equipment installed in complex hydrocarbon based process.
• Detailed knowledge of industry standards related to mechanical systems

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The role will initially be based in Perth but will relocate to Darwin in approximately 18 months time depending on project schedule.
