Our Client is a global leading Oil & Gas Operating Company

The Role:
Lead Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment

Position Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the Mechanical Engineering Component of the FEED contract for the delivery of a LNG Facility to qualify and schedule criteria.

The mechanical engineering component comprises static mechanical (vessels and tanks), layout and piping, and materials.

The role includes: -

• Technical surveillance of the FEED contractor’s engineering including review and approval of key engineering deliverables
• Review of technical bid evaluations for procured items
• Monitoring of FEED contractor progress against approved Mechanical CTRs
• Custodian of the Mechanical engineering section of the Design and other Mechanical engineering deliverables
• Management of project design risk and technical change control against the design phase Mechanical deliverables;
• Management of Mechanical engineering interfaces between FEED contract and other departments such as Technical Authorities, Oil & Gas engineering function, Development group

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills / Experience
• Greater than 15 years industry experience.
• Engineering degree and Chartered / Registered / Professional Engineer status
• Multi discipline engineering knowledge
• Experience with LNG Projects.
• Experience in large compression and large offshore decks
• Project Management knowledge comprising management of risk, cost and schedule
