The Role:
The Lead Modifications Engineer will be responsible for co-ordinating the specification, design, implementation and close out of field modifications in accordance with Company change control processes and with a rigorous assurance and HSSE focus. Central to this activity will be the institutionalisation of safe working practices and embedding a culture of performance excellence. The Lead Modifications Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is an integral part of the Technical Team in the Operate Business Delivery Unit.

**This role is required to work offshore and will also involve some international travel.**

• Co-ordinate the discipline engineering (COMPANY UKU Engineering and third party) input to all modifications to ensure that the Company’s technical, performance and integrity requirements are met.
• Act as a change agent to introduce COMPANY change control, project and technical assurance systems. Integrate all modifications engineering activities during transition of operatorship.
• Ensure that all interface issues, both internally and with third parties, are defined and resolved in a timely and effective manner.

• Co-ordinate the interfaces with Operations to ensure agreement of workscope, tie-ins, operability and maintenance requirements.
• Co-ordinate plans with Operations for readiness, commissioning and handover.
• Co-ordinate peer assists, peer reviews and technical assurance reviews.
Ensure the application of document management processes and timely revision of key operations documentation.

• Develop Invitation to Tender technical packages for modification design and implementation contractor and for discrete work packages.
• Coordinate evaluation of technical submissions.
• Ensure relevant lessons learned from COMPANY assets worldwide are applied to the change process and specific technical issues.
• Apply professional judgement to the analysis, diagnosis and response to issues arising during the specification, design, implementation and handover of minor modifications.

Co-ordinate delivery of modifications taking account of criticality and impact (positive & negative) on safety, production, operating costs.

Performance Management
Drive delivery of high performance from Engineering Service Contractor.
Deliver key Modifications to support UKU assets to meet targets.

Support development and optimisation of budgets and forecasts.
Cost Management of all modification budgets.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant discipline, you will be a professional Oil and Gas Engineer with experience in upstream exploration and production offshore operations and maintenance with knowledge of process plant, facilities, utilities and architecture of offshore gas and oil producing facilities.
• You will ensure compliance with UK Safety Case legislation including DCR, PFEER and have experience of managing an Engineering Service Contractor, with a proven track record in delivery of Brownfield Modifications up to £5mm.
• Maintaining an openness to learn, actively looking for new ways to improve your own and others capabilities and performance you will be skilled in engaging and facilitating others to think, plan and learn from new action.
