The Role:
Providing day to day Safety expertise support and advice to all aspects of Company Operations;
To map and inventories best practices in terms of Safety Standards (internally, venture, international best practise, OGP etc) to develop a Company Safety Standards and Procedures and effectively linking with the Corporate Management System; this also includes joint working with other Company divisions;
To support the Head of Occupational Safety to identify, map and source Safety Standards best practice benchmarks for migrations/coordination/implementation within the Company Group for similar project and operations conditions/complexity/scope;
Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on Company Safety Procedures and Standards;
Technical owner for assigned Safety Standards including, as minimum: Health & Safety Golden Rules, Permit to Work System, Mechanical Isolation, Lock out tag out (LOTO), WRAP&TRIC, Confined Space Entry, Lifting, Working at Height, Scaffolding Specification, Personnel Lifting, Excavation Safety, Personal Protective Equipment and other relevant standards;
Analyzing existing Safety Processes and recommend the way forward for improving;
Maintaining, revising and updating Safety Procedures and Standards to reflect changing operational circumstances;
Development, preparation, and implementation of new Company Safety Procedures, Standards, Manuals, Instructions, in line with international best practices and the applicable RoK legislation as appropriate;
Development, preparation, and implementation of RoK legislation required HSSE related procedures and documentations;
Ensuring developed Occupational Safety Procedures and standards are communicated, implemented and updated accordingly;
Provides Safety advice to the line Management and ensures that activities are compliant with the RoK legislation and Company HSSE standards and procedures;
Continues monitoring and auditing the implementation of Safety Standards and Procedures;
Supporting the Head of Occupational Safety in reviewing Contractor and Company HSE Cases, Interface documents, HSE Plans, Emergency Response Plans, HSSE Procedures and legally required documents like e.g. Declaration of Safety, Civil Defense Plans etc;
Ensuring that Company operations and activities are supported with appropriate HSSE Standards and Procedures;
Provide technical HSSE advise and input to other disciplines;
Ensure the development, maintenance, implementation and auditing of Company Permit to Work system at Company sites and implementation in accordance with requirements;
Support Head of Occupational Safety in terms of HSSE activities;
Participate to Company incident Investigations when required;
Participating in operational risk assessments and / or HAZOPs, HAZIDs, where required;
Participating in bow-tie verification exercises where required;
Participating in Line Managed and Corporate HSSE Audits, including the preparation and facilitation of audit team requirements as required;
Carrying out Safety Inspections and Site Visits as required;
Ensuring that all requisite training are obtained and up to date;
To participate in visits, reviews and audits of Contractors to ensure Company HSSE requirements are complied with;
Provide full support in implementation of the Company HSSE culture program, along with associated training and coaching programs, in line with the Company expectations set by senior management;
Promote Company Health & Safety Golden Rules and visible implementation;
Develop Safety Promotional and Awareness materials for Safety Campaigns;
Preparation, arrangement and rolling out of Safety campaigns at Company sites based on the lessons learned and analysis from SAFE-R reporting;
Ensure the timely and sufficient provision of consultancy and continuous support to various departments in terms of RoK Industrial, Fire and Labour Safety Regulations;
Provide assistance to Company and RoK regulatory bodies chaired incident investigations where appropriate;
Participation as a Company representative in different RoK Safety, Labour Protection, Industrial and Fire Safety Audits and Inspections;
Support for internal communications relating to HSSE subject matter;
Performing any other tasks requested by the Head of Occupational Safety;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Technical University Diploma, a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety Management, preferably with an engineering background.
Certification as auditor per main international standards OHSAS 18001 or ISO 9001.
At least 6-8years experience in HSSE within oil and gas industry with operational experience on and offshore.
Experience in developing and establishing Safety Standards as minimum: Permit to Work System, Risk Assessment, Isolation, Confined Space Entry, Lifting, Excavation Safety, Personal Protective Equipment and other safety related standards;
The job holder will be required to pass RoK Industrial, Fire and Labour Safety Knowledge Assessment and internal training courses.
NEBOSH diploma is advantageous
Min 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector within production / drilling projects or operations.
OR
Min 2-3 Years’ experience of Plant Operations either as a Unit Operator or Production Engineering Role.
Project Design experience at concept select

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Highly developed communications skills verbal, written and influencing skills at all levels through presentations and structured discussions for all stakeholders including state and local regulatory bodies;
Good understanding of the safety regulatory frameworks and legislation of the RoK;
Ability to work in an international and diverse environment;
Demonstrate a broad comprehensive understanding of HSSE management systems, the technical and HSSE associated issues of exploration and production activities, risk management and business opportunities and risks;
Analytical, self motivated and able to set standards and priorities and have the skills to analyze and audit performance.
PC & General admin skills will be beneficial.
