We are seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer to act as a focal point/technical authority for pipeline engineering questions throughout the engineering design, construction and installation phases of the pipeline projects.

The Job - You would be responsible for a number of duties such as:
• To provide pipeline engineering input to other disciplines to assure that the design outputs are consistent.
• To act as project authority for the review of the pipeline aspects of Designs Bases, design drawings, specifications and installation procedures.
• To assist construction and commissioning teams with field questions encountered during installation (As related to pipe laying, risers, tie-ins, hydro-testing, welding etc)
• To initiate and coordinate tasks needed for project execution including surveys, permitting or government reviews, material specification, installation procedures, testing etc.
• Active contribution as a key member of the Engineering Team.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the team.
• Take commercial responsibility for work executed within the teams.
• Contribute to business development and tendering activities.
• Act as line manager for Pipelines team members.

Essentials
• University Engineering Degree
• Min 8 years relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
• Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
• Proven track record in leading a design engineering team, with the ability to prioritise work to meet company and client deadlines.
