The Company:
Our Client is an international Oil & Gas Operator

The Role:
The Lead Piping Engineer will act as Client focal point for all Piping deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards, policies and procedures.
• Responsible in resolving technical queries and ensure the resolution is satisfactory and ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process
• Check calculations as required and participate in design reviews, checking discipline documents and interdisciplinary documents where necessary.
• Review documentation deliverables for inclusion in workpacks.
• Supervision of FEED Contractor(s) engineers and designers within the scope of work.
• Responsible for delivery as part of the project team the target and completion of engineering documentation within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
• Review of engineering and construction scopes for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.
• Identification of increase or reduction in scope and assist in raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes.
• Review FEED contractor(s) engineering procedures.
• Compliance with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate
• Provide Discipline Engineering Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards are not compromised by any Discipline Engineering Activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Able to work unsupervised specifying new equipment requirements, writing ad-hoc workpacks
• Excellent knowledge of piping systems, pressure ratings and applications
• Excellent knowledge of pipe stress software (Caesar lll)
• Excellent knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
• Excellent knowledge of code and standards with the Oil and Gas industry (NACE, API,DNV, etc).
• Conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards (UK, EU,NORSOK etc).
