The Company:
A major international operator.

The Role:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives. Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS). Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Reporting to Fabrication Project Engineering Manager
* Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets.
* Assist the Fabrication Yards Management Team and fabrication contractors with the accurate interpretation of Issued for Construction piping documents.
* Supervises discipline engineers and reviews piping design of project for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and feasibility to governing codes and Company requirements.
* Coordinate review of relevant fabrication documents including drawings and procedures as required to ensure that fabrication proceeds in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements
* Provide input as required for the QA/QC group on technical issues
* Oversee piping system installation and testing. Assist in coordination of Valve and Flange Management
* Perform regular Site inspections to ensure works are proceeding per contract.
* Monitor discipline scheduling, risk identification and management.
* Assist as required to generate input for scheduling and risk identification/management.
* Attend weekly internal and contractor meetings
* Reviewing and responding to field technical queries, preparing, submitting and follow-up of RFIs, concerning the piping necessary.
Identifies and elevates potential changes in contract scope.
* Participates in change management by providing technical input and support to Project Controls and Contracts groups.
* Support Quality Group to confirm that the fabricators have satisfied all technical requirements for the scope of supply.
* Reviewing results of Global Dimensional Control data pertaining to the PAU's piping assemblies.
* The Lead Piping Engineer will inform the Engineering Manager of all resolutions and responses. Should the Lead Piping Engineer reach a determination that an issue or query needs home office engineering review or support, he will confer with the Engineering Manager to reach a joint conclusion, prior to forwarding the issue or field design change recommendation on the a home office location. Every effort shall be made to provide responses at site to mitigate any potential delays.
* Ensure fabrication Contractor complies with agreed build methods, lifting procedures and method statements for the most expedient approach.
* Develop excellent working relationships with Company and Contractors teams assisting Fabrication Contractor in all his endeavors and objectives observing quality codes and standards.
* Maintain high standards of attitude and behavior throughout the site and offsite acting as a role model for younger members of staff and local employees.
* Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates.
* Active participation in mechanical completion.
* Fabrication yard based role

* Contractors (accommodation, ground transportation, and overall destination services providers)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree / Diploma (completed post-secondary or higher education) - this can be substitute with relevant operational experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* High School diploma
* A minimum of 15+ years of foreign experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel in a mentoring/developmental role
* Minimum 10 years of Discipline Lead and Senior role within relevant Engineering Discipline
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Previous Korean Yard experience
