The Role:
To support our on-going projects we now require a Lead Piping / Mechanical Construction Specialist to work in a team of Oil & Gas Engineers based in our KSA Office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall Piping/Mechanical Construction and Construction Supervision.
• Co-ordinate Construction activities within the various elements of the Projects as part of interface management.
• The primary role of the function is to ensure that all aspects of Piping/Mechanical Construction, Completions, Commissioning and the handover work scope is being effectively managed and performed by the EPC Contractors.
• The PMS Contract is being completed in accordance with end clients standards. All EPC work scopes are being properly performed in accordance with safety, quality standards and the expectations set by the client.
• Demonstrate safety leadership by example and regularly communicate same to end clients and other Functional Managers
• Ensuring the PMS Contract is managed and delivered to technical satisfaction.
• Ensuring the PMS Contract is managed and delivered to end clients technical satisfaction.
• Ensure the EPC Contractors are managed within the Contract scope with respect to the Piping/Mechanical Construction, Completion and Commissioning activities.
• Functional Management of PMS Piping/Mechanical Construction team ensuring regular communications are conducted with the team.
• Functional management ensuring systems are in place to manage holidays, expenses, training and performance evaluation.
• Reputation management ensuring client are recognised as a competent and professional organisation with the resources and systems to effectively provide Project Management Services for the client.
• Understand Contract obligations and ensure that all staff are aware of their obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act and equivalent end clients standards.
• Identifying areas of concern with respect to progress of the Project and recommending corrective actions wherever required and executing when directed by end clients
• Provide effective and practical Construction input into study, FEED, and Contract execution phases of Projects to ensure Constructability aspects of Project execution are adequately considered.
• Regularly review Construction plans, philosophies, execution methods and schedules to identify areas of concern and provide effective Construction Management measures to minimize exposure to end clients.
• Participate in key end clients reviews and meetings as required.
• Participate in weekly Assigned Project reviews.
• Participate in Project Management Plan reviews.
• Update and prepare department procedures and work practices as appropriate.
• Provide notification of any potential commercial risks or opportunity to the Construction Manager for further action.
• Develop a good team spirit within assigned PMS personnel and encourage team working with the Contractors and other end clients groups
• Provide Construction input into IPMT team forums, discussion groups, new initiatives etc. as required.
• Participate as part of the Overall Project Management Team developing initiatives and applying effective housekeeping
• Independent review to and input to bids, tenders, scopes, FEED design, Detailed design by EPC contractors.
• Independent reporting through the monthly report to end clients
• Is permanently assigned to the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• B.Sc. (Eng) or equivalent
• Minimum twelve years post graduate experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the designation.
• Functional management, leadership and teambuilding skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Cultural awareness.
