The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Lead Planner based in Perth on a contract basis.

• Functionally accountable to the Deputy Planning Manager - POC on all matters concerning planning, analysis, trending, reporting and potential risk mitigation for the nominated scope area.
• Line accountability to Execution Manager/Contract Owner for nominated scope area on all matters concerning planning, analysis, trending and schedule risk/opportunities
• Support and reinforce schedule ownership by Execution Management
• Proactively lead and manage allocated planning resources to deliver accurate, timely, reliable and consistent analysis of plan and planning and schedule deliverables for the defined workscope.
• Work proactively and collaboratively with Stakeholders and BWI Planning Team to identify and resolve issues, align expectations and goals, and support successful outcomes for all involved. Monitor allocated planning team performance to validate performance expectations are being met, and take action when performance

Tasks include:-
• Engage with stakeholders in POC and BWI to facilitate clear and frequent communication and general alignment on way forward for nominated scope area. Stakeholders include Area Project Managers (APMs), Site Execution Management and Site Planning Management, POC based Contract Owners and other interested parties
• Manage allocated planning resources to deliver accurate, reliable and timely planning and schedule analysis and deliverables for both line and function
• Implement Planning function procedures and processes and monitor team performance
• Manage the update of the relevant portions of the Project Master Schedule L3 (per nominated workscope) and higher level schedules as required
• Assess schedule impact for Management of Change requests for nominated work scope in line with change management procedures.
• Contribute as required to weekly and monthly project reporting.
• Prepare and maintain detailed schedules including analytical review of critical paths and project float.
• Monitor progress to determine trends and to assist in forecasting. Review project quantity reports for accuracy.
• Undertake schedule variance analysis as required and transmit clearly to stakeholders
• Evaluate scope changes, additional work orders and other elements. Support constructability reviews on site as required
• Support transition from an area based schedule to a system based schedule through pre -commissioning period

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experienced Primavera P6 Planner.
Previous experience working as part of Owner’s team in major oil and gas field development.
Phase 3 & 4 experience in LNG plant construction
Team management skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Competent data base and spreadsheet skills.
Familiar with construction erection methods and sequencing.
Familiar with materials procurement, tracking and control methods.
Practical piping and mechanical background experience in field construction on major module and stick built facilities.
Familiar with transition procedures from area construction schedules to commissioning/system based schedules
