Oil and gas company (our client) is urgently looking for Lead Planner / Scheduler:


The Role:
Job Description:
The Lead Planner is responsible for the development / maintenance of the Resource Loaded Project Schedule for the scope, with appropriate inputs from project team members.

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Construction, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration with relevant experience, with 15+ years experience in the oil and gas industry
• Proficient in MS Office and Primavera 6.0 or later
• Experience must include: project planning and scheduling, resource loading and leveling, progress measurement, and supervision of Planning personnel in a project environment.

Supervision of the local Planning/ Scheduling group including hands-on execution to:
• Develop and maintain all schedules enabling the Project Management Team to control the progress and completions dates for the Tank Farm, the Offshore facilities and the Control Systems and Communications (scope) scope of work.
• Responsible for charting out the Activity codes, Activity descriptions and approximated time frames for completion of the activities.
• Update the CPM system as required; understand the logic driven activities and reports trends that may lead to deviations in the plan; analyzes engineering, vendor and EPC Contractor's schedule and advises on recovery and resolution plans
• Work very closely with the Project Management Team and communicate with all discipline leads, regarding the desired timing, duration and sequencing of their tasks.
• Assists in the preparation of all Project Controls reports including; scheduling updates and analysis, progress reporting, trends/ changes and ad hoc reporting for management
• Perform analysis of special or specific Planning and Scheduling issues; identification and resolution of matters in the area of Planning and Scheduling; and providing additional analysis and reporting to management, as well as external clients, as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Develop all schedules for the scope of the project.
• Develop, monitor and report all primary schedule and progress documentation scope of the project.
• Develop and distribute regular progress reports regarding company and contractor's deliverables, progress and milestone dates.
• Prepares the S-Curves for each discipline/phase/area based on the baseline schedule.
