The Company:
Our client, a major international oil and gas operator, seeks Lead Planner/Scheduler to join their organization.

The Role:
Client has recently acquired a 50:50 JV interest in this project.
Client will operate the downstream scope to design and build (i) a two train 10MMTPA LNG liquefaction and marine export facility at project location on the Canadian west coast, and (ii) the Pacific Trail pipeline (463km) to link to third party pipeline infrastructure at Summit lake.
The project is in phase 3.
Site is clearance underway and FEED work on the LNG facility and pipeline has commenced.
Project is a world scale project and represents another major step forward for client to be among the top LNG producers in the world.
The Planning & Scheduling Advisor will be assigned to the project.
The Advisor will work as a member of a multi-functional project team to support / accomplish the following: develop Schedule Plan and Basis of Schedule; develop schedule in Primavera P6; develop planning tasks, durations, and logic; proactively engages with disciplines to establish schedules, as well as identify & resolve issues; independently updates and maintains an integrated, detailed schedule ; assists in review and validation of integrated, detailed schedules; generate schedule reports; develop planning / scheduling section of the Project Execution Plan (PEP); identify scheduling & planning requirements; support benchmarking activities ; develop, review, and validate an integrated schedule; review, validate, and challenge contractors’ detailed schedules &, integrate into the master schedule; independently identifies and works with interfaces to resolve issues; works with Project Controls on progress and resource reporting, monitoring, and analysis; oversight of contractor schedules; present schedule updates to leadership; participates in project reviews, assurances and risk assessments.
Candidate expected to have high proficiency in scheduling software applications and EPC planning experience.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
AACE International certification as a Planning & Scheduling Consultant and/or as a Certified Cost Engineer is preferred but not necessary; must be able to travel to international project team locations; upstream and/or downstream oil & gas project experience preferred.
A four year degree in Engineering or related industry plus at least 7 years of experience in planning/scheduling for upstream and/or downstream oil and gas projects OR 15+ years of experience in planning/scheduling for upstream and/or downstream oil and gas projects is required.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Diversified project experience Execution - participation in execution phase (engineering, design, procurement, fabrication/construction, installation, commissioning) of major capital projects, preferably in cost engineering and/or project management roles.
Project development experience - execution planning preformed in FEED and Pre-FEED. (early conceptual planning)
Experience in cost engineering or project management, particularly planning and scheduling, for major capital projects, including owner's perspective.
Knowledge to effectively analyze and critique major capital project plans and schedules to provide assurance of their accuracy.
Knowledge to facilitate planning sessions for any phase of project life cycle.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of standardized Planning & Scheduling work processes and tools in a major capital project environment.
Knowledge of Planning & Scheduling tools, techniques, and software.
