The Company:
Our client is a major operator and part of a major JV in Kazakhstan in developing one of the world’s largest oil and gas fields. To assist in the next phase of project development and management of in country activity we are now looking to appoint a Lead Planning/Scheduling into an ex pat staff status and based in Astanain, Kazakhstan

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following key accountabilities:

• Provide planning and scheduling support to the JV project development team
• Deliver planning schedules in accordance with the approved processes and systems.
• Ensure all parties involved in the JV are aware of their roles and accountabilities
• Work with Project delivery team to develop planning and scheduling procedures
• Develop project plans and schedules and accurate milestone reports
• Establish resource loaded planning schedules
• Ensure the capture of project close-out information assist in improving planning preparation
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to HSSE performance.
• Undertake cost and schedule risk, peer and functional reviews.
• Contribute to the development of best practice project controls guidelines and procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore seeking applications urgently from individual with the following skills, behaviours and experience:

• Significant planning and scheduling experience in the oil and gas industries to include large scale onshore and offshore projects
• Capability in use of industry software e.g. Primavera
• Track record in ensuring effective interface between planning/scheduling function and other project disciplines as well as external stakeholders
• A team player with ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Educated to first degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and a Chartered Engineer or equivalent – preferred
