The Role:
Primary Functions & Dimensions:

­Ensure that the Construction contractor provides all the planning deliverables outlined in relevant Exhibit of the contract to an acceptable quality standard and on time
­Work closely with the Contracts Administrator and Cost Engineer to validate the Contractors’ bill of quantities and associated progress measurement each month
­Assign responsibility for the development and maintenance of the components that make up the integrated schedule
­Assess project deliverables against MS requirements and ensure that Construction contractor planning deliverables are in compliance
­Coordinate schedule risk analysis for Construction section
­Consolidate and monitor all Construction Contractor and sub-contractor schedules, analyze progress relative to schedule and Project Milestones to detect deviations
­Alert Project Management to issues and potential problem areas and propose viable solutions
­Develop and run assurance / audit system to validate Construction Contractor progress
­Prepare contingency plans and associated schedules as necessary
­Maintain visibility of all milestone driven decision points within the Construction section of the plan
­Ensure the integrated schedule is accurately updated to meet the project requirements
­Act as an advisor to Project Management on all issues related to the project schedule
­Mentor, coach and direct existing planning team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Critical Skills:

­ Project Planning background (15-20 years) with a proven management and control track record in major upstream oil and gas projects, with extensive site based construction background
­ Demonstrated ability to lead a team of of planning professionals
­ Comprehensive knowledge and experience of established Project Planning system applications and in particular Primavera
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed analytical skills with ability to assess project plans and identify gaps and risks
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Structured and disciplined
- Proficient in managing data, interpreting and analysing trends.
- Ability to network internally and externally
- Strong communication, networking, collaboration and well developed team-working skills
- Highly developed influencing and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic with a questioning and challenging attitude
- Ability to work with and for multiple customers and make rational decisions
