The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
Demonstrate personal leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance.
Active lead role in Asset/project meetings, weekly status, business plan kick-off, risk & opportunity sessions, project framing, contract strategy, functions reviews, readiness reviews etc.
Verify progress and performance against plan, identify areas of potential schedule overrun, recommend corrective action, forecast completions and provide input to project reports.
Compile internal and partners’ project schedule reviews and approvals processes. Identify gaps or shortfalls and communicate as appropriate.
Lead or participate in, as appropriate, reviews of third-party or sub-contractor schedules.
Identify gaps or shortfalls and communicate as appropriate.
Lead or participate in, as appropriate, cost and schedule risk analyses, using probabilistic techniques. Ensure results are communicated as appropriate.
Participate in the development of a project risk register to provide for identification, mitigation and monitoring of project risks.
Where appropriate participate in the development and review of key engineering deliverables to ensure appropriateness as input for schedules.
Liaise with the project services & estimating functions in the company Advance on schedule benchmarking and participate a good exchange of planning knowledge, data and lessons learned.
Ensure application of the work break-down structure, align with work and organisation structures and accounting processes.
Prepare and maintain project planning procedures, and provide input to other relevant project documentation.
Input scheduling data for the project monthly report; assist in monthly performance report preparation and ‘ProSpace’ updating.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical professional with experience in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industry.
Knowledge of all phases of major oil and gas projects e.g. FEED, EPC, Commissioning, Start-up etc. and experience of the project sanction process.
Experience of working on projects with joint venture partners.
Educated to first degree level in a relevant subject (preferred) or HND minimum
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and partner representatives to influence plans.
Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Advanced Primavera and MS project software knowledge.
Fluent in English.
