The Company:
Our client is a leading International EPC/M organisation who is engaged in some of the worlds largest and most technically challenging Oil & Gas projects currently under execution.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Project Lead Planning / Schedule Engineer to join our client's North West Office.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait our client are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize their client’s Main Gathering Centre located at Wafra, Kuwait with many sub-centres throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

All applicants must be Degree / Diploma Qualified

Duration of Project 2-4 years

The key elements of the role are :
Supervise and direct all activities of the Planning Function and the Planning Engineers.
Supervise the Project Controls function during design and/or construction stages of the assigned project/projects.
Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the overall project schedule to ensure optimization of resources and control of all associated project work.
Ensure effective co-ordination within the planning team and to its external interfaces.
Monitors engineering schedules to ensure that the engineering deliverables are scheduled to meet construction requirements.
Provides weekly reports of engineering and procurement progress, and informs to management on areas of concern and advise remedial actions and alternatives to maintain the schedule.
Monitors contractor, vendors' and sub-contractors schedules to ensure that the project has a realistic and achievable construction schedule.
Leads and directs other Planning / Schedule Engineer.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The following qualification is essential:
Degree in Engineering
Must have substantial experience in years Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical Industry
Substantial experience of EPCM engineering projects, including managing multi-discipline design activities with International EPCM contractors.
Substantial hands on experience in Planning
Must have experience in planning software like Primavera, MS Project, etc.
Good written and oral communication skills, demonstrated through client interaction, supervision, proposals and presentations.
Ability to negotiate successfully with clients and contractors through engineering and construction phases of the project.
