The Company:
Our Client is an innovator of LNG and LPG production in the Middle East.

The Role:
Our Client is currently seeking a Lead Planning Engineer to undertake the planning and pre-engineering function of all aspects of daily (routine), capital and major maintenance, major overhauls and project works of the Plant Maintenance & Engineering Division. Participates in the preparation of the Division’s Capital and Revenue Budgets.

The position would be working on a 35/28 rotational schedule.

Duties would include:

Assist with planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the activities of the assigned personnel (Maintenance & Overhaul Planners). Also preparation of Mechanical and Instrument/Electrical networks for major plant and equipment overhauls and daily maintenance activities, including:
• The preparation of work specifications
• Ordering of materials, including specifications of new materials
• Establishment of resources including mobile plant/equipment
• Preparation of mobilization/demobilization schedules

Liaises with various Departments to establish scopes of work for plant and equipment overhauls and daily maintenance activities.

Supervises, plans, directs and coordinates all aspects of routine maintenance planning activities, including: classification of notifications and initiation of work orders/sub orders, resource allocation, scheduling of work orders, work progress monitoring, and control and recording of equipment history.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering (preferably Mechanical).
• At least 10 years experience in planning and maintenance, at least 6 of which should have been in the Mechanical Maintenance of relevant Petrochemical plant and equipment.
• Must have Overhaul & Shutdown experience
• Familiar with computer systems and hardware configurations, with experience in the use of the more popular software packages; preferably SAP, Artemis 7000, MS Project, Database, Excel (or similar).
