The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Lead Planning Engineer based in Egypt based on a residential basis.

This area covers the translation of a Project’s Technical Scope, Execution Strategy and Risk Profile into the component activities, interrelationships and sequencing required for its delivery. During execution the focus moves to management and maintenance of the schedule to accurately reflect the project status and forecast. The planning discipline covers the processes, methods and tools required to establish and maintain the project baseline schedule.

The processes involved are:
- Activity Definition: Identifying the specific activities that need to be performed to produce the project deliverables.
- Activity Sequencing: Identifying and utilising dependencies between activities.
- Activity Resourcing: Estimating the types and quantity of resources needed.
- Schedule Development: Analysing activity sequences, durations, resource limits, and constraints to create a realistic baseline.
- Schedule Control: Progressing, rescheduling, measuring performance and analysing the current position against the baseline in order to establish project status. Identifying problem areas, mitigating actions and the effect of scope changes to the project’s execution.
- Schedule Risk Assessment: Exposing the deterministic schedule to risk via a probabilistic modeling process. Using the results of this analysis to de-risk the plan and schedule and establish focus on areas of risk.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 years industry experience in lead planning positions.
Experience in managing small teams of junior personnel.
